The weather affects many activities in CJS programs.  If the weather is not suitable on the day of the activity, program coordinators will leave an appropriate message to notify participants who call the CJS Community message center.

Dial 549-0939, choose option 3, community ID 9, then press #.  The program coordinator will leave an appropriate message as to the scheduling of the activity affected by the weather.

Our policy on lightning:

If lightning is witnessed, or thunder is heard, during any CJS activity, regardless of the perceived, or estimated distance from the field, all activity must immediately cease, and all participants must immediately vacate the fields.

Play may not resume, and participants may not return to the field until lightning has ceased, has not been seen, and thunder has not been audible for a minimum of 30 minutes.  The decision to resume/return may only be made by the appropriate Program Coordinator in consultation with Field Directors.
